Prison Security Screening Contrabands can be a huge problem for prisons. They have to be detected and confiscated before they cause serious damage to the inmates and other people in the prison which could lead to injury or death. Thus, Contraband detection is important because it can prevent smuggling, violence, and injuries within the prison. Contrabands types include weapons, knives, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.

Qilootech's newer generation Sharpshooter 5010 X-ray scanners can be used to detect contraband items in prisons. Qilootech's X-Ray Full Body Scanner Systems works by directing a beam of x-rays that pass through the inmate's body and then onto an image sensor behind them. The x-rays that are not blocked by metal and non-metal objects on the outside of the skin show up as white on the image sensor, while those blocked by metal objects appear black.
